Some of the ideas from others here commenting sound great.

Having some way to do the pre-race burnout to warm up the tires would be great. How about a starter type track with tire rollers built into the track before the starting lights with a water box graphic on the track around the area where the wheel rollers would be indicating where the rear tires of the slot car should be just like at the real drag strip!

For those not familiar with drag racing, there is an area right before the race surface that's called the water box, the drivers get the rear tires of their cars in the water box then slowly roll out of the box and into the throttle making the wheels spin easier (the water makes for less stress on the driveline parts) as the car burns it's tires up too.... or past the finish line (all professional classes like Top Fuel, Funny Car and Pro Stock can burnout past the staging lights while non pro categories have to stop before the staging lights, except for some of the really fast non pro car categories like Competition Eliminator and Top Sportsman)

This is how it would work, the rollers in the track would be activated from each controller, you can lower and raise the wheel rollers with a switch that would lift the rear tires of the slot car leaving the tires situated between two rollers holding the slot car in place so rear tires can free wheel to get the tires speed up so you can rev the engine without the slot car moving. When you are ready to do your burnout you hold down the trigger on the controller for max speed then hit the switch on the controller which drops the wheel rollers and off you go.

The cars would burnout past the starting lights/line, then on the controller you would be able to hit another switch that would make the slot car go in reverse backing it up over the starting line and setting the car up in the staging lights ready to race. It could be done! It might make the set a little more expensive but having a more life like set would really make a statement about AW and just might kick start the hobby again?

Also, how about other classes of cars in the future, like Top Fuel, Pro Stocks, new and vintage sets and cars like the 64 Barracuda's, 61 SS409 Impala's from the pre Pro Stock classes and maybe some Super Stock type cars. Also, how about this, get on board with the younger crowd and design sport compact cars with real front wheel drive. You would be reaching out to an entirely new segment of the public with those cars, that would be crazy even though I'm not a fan of Sport Compacts ;-)

Shucks guys I think the darn thang looks GREAT just the way it is. I like the Black better than the white tree mounting.
If the tree was built in the track it will get broken real easy. Also the lane spacing probably will not allow it to happen.
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK
WORK HARDER
WORK FASTER
Can you smell HOP UP KITS IN THE WORKS?

I also think the Twin power pack is a great idea for real power to each car, but it would also be nice if the connectors were compatable with AFX controllers for right or left handed race direction.

I would really love to see 4 roller bearings large enough to fit under the 4 Gear rear tires and smaller rear tires built into the track on each side of the track rails, so that the cars can do some peel outs to warm the tires effect. Setting this up before or in front of the XMAS Tree.
This would also serve as a test run of the cars health before running the 1/4 mile.

I also think the XMAS tree should look more like the real XMAS tree pole mounted between the two car lanes, directly mounting the Tree into the track, but able to be removed for moving or storage. The track terminal with the XMAS Tree should be wider to allow for the cars to be able to get by the tree and continue running the pike. This would be really cool. I hope this is a possibility for this Drag Race set.

I am interested in selling this item at my raceway. Please email me a quote for quantities 2, 5, & 9. I have a 1/8 mile, 1/24 scale drag strip & will be moving to a larger facility soon so I can have a 1/4 mile strip. Most of my drag guys race full sized drag cars & I expect to sell some of these sets at the nearby strips.

The set looks great so far. The track piece with either the stripes or the writting on it should be replaceable with a standard piece as this makes the set look like more of a toy.

BTW, the John Force Auto World Pro Racing Dragway name could do without "John Force" logo. I think if you just use "Auto World Pro Racing Dragway" would sell the same amount, if not more. Putting his name on it makes it sound more like a childs toy. I personally have nothing against John, but his name doesn't have to be on everything. But if it will get it released sooner, go for it.
